1. If you live in an area where there is a lot of snow each winter, you can take your family skiing. Your children can take advantage of qualified ski instructors and practice on the bunny hill. The adults and older children will have a great time on the slopes. If skiing is not a popular choice, there is also snowboarding, cross country skiing, hiking on nature trails, horse sleigh rides, sledding, snowmobiling, ice-skating, horse-back riding, snow-tubing, and snow-shoeing, Enjoying time in the fresh air will rejuvenate the entire family. If you want to spend time outside close to home, building snowmen in the yard is fun for the whole family.

2. During the winter holidays, your local community organizations will hold a variety of holiday events. For instance, take your children to the mall to see Santa, attend local plays and musicals such as the “Nut Cracker,” attend musical events put on by community organizations, and take in a holiday parade and a tree lighting. There are also many holiday craft festivals that your family can attend. As well, have a special dress-up evening where the entire family goes to a nice restaurant for a delicious meal.

3. There are many activities a family can do at home during the winter holidays. Making a gingerbread house together is always a fun activity. The family can also decorate the home together, get a Christmas tree together and decorate it. Making homemade ornaments is always fun. As well, making holiday cookies and other sweets is a fun family activity. The holidays are also a great time to watch all of those classic holiday movies. Board games are another fun family activity. There are many games that the entire family can play together.

4. The holidays are a special time of giving. Get your family to volunteer for a special cause. For instance you and your family can donate old clothing to a homeless shelter, visit a nursing home and entertain the residents, make food for a homeless shelter, walk dogs at a dog rescue shelter, give away old toys for needy families, and much more. Check your local community to see what charities may need your help. You can show your kids that helping others is an important part of celebrating the holidays.

It is essential to plan ahead for holiday activities. Take some time to sit down with a pen and notepad and come up with a list of activity ideas. You can even ask your family what they would like to do to celebrate the holidays. Whatever family activity you choose, it will make your holidays much more fun and provide you and your family with long lasting memories.

1) Buy it used. Well, not really used: more like discounted (or unused actually). Sometimes, people can put their vacation opportunities up at real discounts. Did you know that there are all sorts of people out there who own time shares but can’t use them for various reasons? Maybe the season isn’t right, or they can’t seem to get the flight that they need. Ebay has a thriving market for timeshare opportunities. A lot of the listings are permanent (e.g. people looking for others to buy their times shares out completely), but sometimes people are just looking to monetize a weeks worth of timeshare that they can’t seem to use themselves. Their loss can be your opportunity. Ebay is an auction, and the highest price wins usually.

2) Compare everything. Guess what? Expedia and Orbitz seem like they are juggernauts of internet travel and they control a lot of the market. BUT, they don’t have every vendor available. A lot of the discount airlines like SouthWest and JetBlue don’t use either of these massive companies and you can only get their deals by going directly to their website. Don’t’ tell anyone, but from what we’ve heard JetBlue is supposed to have really nice seats and monitors on new planes with really good prices. We haven’t used JetBlue ourselves yet, but it’s supposed be really good (especially at delivering good value on Northeast to Florida routes). That tip alone could save you some bucks while getting you a really nice flight.

3) The first 2 points are perfectly valid in any trip planning but almost worthless when you consider that you might have to shell out a lot more bucks for destinations abroad. There is a beautiful beach state located not too far from anyone East of the Mississippi. That’s right. Florida. Florida is back and it’s beaches are still fantastic. Florida is still beautiful. There has been a lot of development of Florida during the last 50 years, but Florida is still a massive state with plenty of undiscovered beaches. The state of Florida can be great if you know where to look. It’s pretty nice. Trust us….the undiscovered spots of Florida can really be something else. However, they are becoming more and more difficult to find as thousands of people move to Florida every month.

With some clever coordination, 7 key items get you a myriad of looks. You look chic by the beach or in the restaurant. That capsule wardrobe goes a long way. The trick is to pick tops that go with all the bottoms in your travel wardrobe. Do that through your color scheme.

First of all, pick your color scheme. What colors look best on you. Pick 2 or 3 colors that make you look really good, and which go really well with one another. If you are uncertain, you could stick to just black and white, or a bright color and black. As long as all your tops and bottoms are within your color scheme, you can mix and match the tops and bottoms in your travel wardrobe easily.

Now for the 7 items.

1. Your swimwear.
This is where your beach wardrobe begins. You can match your swimwear with your skirts for new looks as you go from the beach, to the bar for a drink. That swim suit can double up as a body suit. A bikini top could double up as a midriff baring halter top. Choose carefully though. If you have a tummy, a one piece swimsuit that holds in your waist would minimize the problem. On the other hand, a string bikini would be really sexy on a good figure. Your swimwear something you should go to the mall to try on yourself. Pick one that looks best on you. Check your reflection in the mirrors, from all angles. Don’t trust the salesgirl. See for yourself. Or get a pal you can trust for her opinion. This swimsuit or bikini is going to be worn with your skirts as well, so pick something in a neutral color, like black or white. You could also pick one in a color or print that would match the skirts you bring on that holiday.

2. A lightweight, yet gorgeous dress
A dress that you can easily roll up and pack into your bag. Ideally, it should emerge wrinkle free when you are ready to wear it. Or you could always hang it up in the bathroom when you take a hot shower, to let the steam smoothen the wrinkles in it. This is especially useful if you might end up going to a fancy restaurant for a meal, or an impromptu dinner date.

3. A sexy top that flatters your body
If you have nice arms, a tank top, a strappy top or any top that is sleeveless would show off your arms beautifully. If not, go for cap sleeves or a long sleeve top that shows a little cleavage.

4. A babydoll t-shirt
The babydoll cut flatters the female body. Especially when worn as a top. It emphasises the bust, skims and slims the waist. It is feminine, but never tarty.

5. A wrap skirt
This should match with your top, your t-shirt and your swimsuit to create different looks. After a swim, put on the wrap skirt over your bikini or swim suit, and go for a drink.

6. A ultra short mini skirt
Extremely important to raise temperatures.  An ultra short mini skirt is perfect for an ultra sexy look. Again, this can be matched with your swimsuit, top and babydoll t-shirt for 3 more new looks.

7. High Heel Sandals
A pair of high heel sandals that is pretty enough for the restaurants in the resort. If it is too cumbersome to wear on the beach, you can always go around barefoot. Just make sure you get a pretty pedicure (and manicure) to show off on the beach. A pair of metallic gold or silver toned sandals would be glamorous, and go well with everything.

It used to be that timeshares were considered a fad, a gimmick, something that would soon pass. It can take some time to choose the equipment that is best for you, but also allows you to buy cheap camping equipment with the selection being so large.

First, make sure your rooms at the resort are booked in advance.  Many of the best vacation resorts are fully booked ahead of time, and having reservations will make sure you have a roof over your head.  In fact, some of the best destinations are booked months in advance, so do your planning early.  Also remember that you may get better rates on your hotel by paying in advance.

Second, make sure your money is safe.  Rather than carrying cash, use traveler’s checks.  If traveler’s checks are lost or stolen they can be quickly replaced.  Or, better yet, use a credit card.  Most resorts take the major bank cards.  You’ll have a record of your purchases and the ability to dispute any inaccurate claims.  If your card is lost or stolen, it can also be quickly replaced and you won’t be responsible for fraudulent purchases made with it.  Nothing could ruin a great vacation faster than having your cash lost or stolen with no way to replace it, so don’t take that chance.  Use credit cards or traveler’s checks and be safe.

Third, make sure the kids are taken care of.  If your children are traveling with you, make sure the resort has adequate play areas and hopefully a daycare service so that you’ll really have a vacation without chasing the kids through the sand all the time.  Many resorts have activity directors for the children’s events, and the kids will have a great time.

Next, what is the nightlife like?  If you and your significant other want to dance the night away, fantastic! Just make sure that the location you pick has a reputation for quality nightlife.  Warm vacation spots that pride themselves on good nightclubs include Key West – a favorite of Ernest Hemmingway; Miami the home of Gloria Estefan; Honolulu, Los Angeles, San Diego, and if you don’t mind skipping the beach, Las Vegas has some of the most exciting night life on earth.  And remember to take along some cab fare.  Definitely don’t drive when you’ve been drinking.

Next think comedy.  Are there good comedy clubs in the area?  Nothing beats a good stand up comedian.  And if stand up isn’t your bag, what other entertainment do you prefer.  Magicians and musicians are always popular.

Water sports and excitement go together, and most warm, sunny vacation spots include plenty of both.  How about parasailing or hang gliding?  What about Scuba diving, snorkeling, or swimming with the dolphins.  If you like the water but don’t want to get wet yourself, check out the deep sea fishing if you are ocean side.  If in Florida, remember all the inland lakes and the trophy bass they hold.

Number seven in our list of necessities is a practical matter.  Make sure that either you speak the language of the natives, or they speak English.  That makes Jamaica a great hot spot, as well as Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.  Also Bermuda, Tahiti and the Dominican Republic are waiting to provide you with a wonderful vacation in paradise.

Number eight is rather simple.  Is transport in and out of your vacation paradise easy?  Do they have a quality airport?  Or will you be driving.  Make sure the transportation needs are easily taken care of.

Next, number nine, sure to be a hit with the ladies, is shopping.  Does your warm sunny vacation destination have adequate shopping facilities?  Nothing makes a woman happier than a chance to shop.

Finally, the top necessity for your warm and sunny destination is that it be a place you’ve always wanted to visit.  Whether you’ve always desired a Florida beach, a California surfing wave, or a tropical island, make sure that your destination is one you’ve always wanted to visit.  And number eleven, as a bonus, is to bring along the video camcorder and still photo camera so that you can record the memories of your vacation and enjoy them for years to come.
